Pika Pen
Teammates: Evan Chang-Siu, Raechel Tan, Wenjie Chen, Jonathan Beard, and Matt Brown
The Pika Pen is a low-cost, sensor-rich pen that allows children, especially those with disabilities (e.g., autism, hypotonic cerebral palsy, and sensory integration disorder), to improve their handwriting technique.
My teammates and I participated in the 2012 Big Ideas at Berkeley contest, a campus-wide competition that provides funding for "projects aimed at solving problems that matter to this generation." We won third place (and $7,000) out of over 200 other teams.
